Hoshiarpur- As per the guidelines of the Health Department Punjab, Civil Surgeon Hoshiarpur Dr. Balbir Kumar visited SDH Garhshankar today to review the health facilities being provided in the health institutions of the district. First of all, Dr. Balbir Kumar checked the attendance of the staff of Civil Hospital Garhshankar. All the staff including SMO Dr. Santokh Ram were present on their duty. 
Later, the Civil Surgeon, with the help of SMO Dr. Santokh Ram, reviewed the drinking water and fan facilities in the OPD area and interacted with the people and asked about the health facilities being provided. He inspected the medicine store and pharmacy, checked the availability of medicines and reviewed the medicines being provided by interacting with the patients standing in the pharmacy queues.
Dr. Balbir Kumar also inspected the dengue ward and medical ward set up for the treatment of patients with dengue, for which the Civil Surgeon expressed satisfaction. While inspecting the emergency, he got information about the services being provided to the admitted patients, maintenance of patient records and the functioning of the medical and paramedical staff. He also directed to ensure cleanliness in the hospital and proper maintenance of bio-medical waste.
After checking, Civil Surgeon Dr. Balbir Kumar interacted with the staff and asked all the staff to provide better health services to the common people, adopt a loving attitude towards the patients and instructed them to take the patients coming to the health institution seriously during any kind of emergency so that the patients do not face any kind of trouble and every necessary facility provided by the government to the people can be provided. He said that the health department is committed to providing quality health facilities to the people.
