Dharamkot:- Constituency MLA Davinderjit Singh Dhos has raised the issue of a youth from the constituency trapped in Russia with the Union Minister and demanded his safe return. This issue has been brought to the notice of the Government of India through Union Minister SP Singh Baghel, who visited the flood-affected villages of the constituency.
In a letter sent to the government through the Union Minister, MLA Dhos told how the young man Buta Singh of Chak Kanian Kalan village of the constituency, who had gone to study in Russia, was misled by Russian army agents on the pretext of a job and then forcibly put on a military uniform and sent to the battlefield.
He said that the said young man belonging to a poor family had gone abroad for a better future for himself and his family, but the Russian army forcibly recruited him and sent him to the Ukraine war. He said that we are worried about the future of the young man and demand his safe return.
He said that the Union Minister has assured that he will bring the entire matter to the attention of the Ministry of External Affairs and ensure the return of young Buta Singh. Young Buta Singh's father Ram Singh and his two sisters were also present on this occasion.
