Property Tax Dues - One Time Settlement Scheme.

Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, August 22: To facilitate people in paying their property tax dues under the One Time Settlement (OTS) scheme announced by the Punjab government, all the municipal council offices of Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar district will remain open on Saturdays and Sundays as well, informed Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal here today.

Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, August 22: To facilitate people in paying their property tax dues under the One Time Settlement (OTS) scheme announced by the Punjab government, all the municipal council offices of Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar district will remain open on Saturdays and Sundays as well, informed Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal here today.
Appealing to the urban residents of the district to take full advantage of the scheme, the Deputy Commissioner said that the last date for paying property tax dues, without penalty and interest, has been extended till August 31, 2025. “After this deadline, the dues will be recovered with penalty and interest,” he added.
Appreciating the encouraging response from the citizens of the district, Ms. Mittal said that the district has collected a total of Rs. 25.46 crore in property tax dues since July 1. Among the municipal councils, Zirakpur tops the list with a revenue collection of Rs. 15.74 crore, followed by Kharar (Rs. 4.40 crore), Derabassi (Rs. 2.47 crore) and Lalru (Rs. 1.07 crore). Other notable recoveries include Kurali (Rs. 70 lakh), Nayagaon (Rs. 60.78 lakh) and Banur (Rs. 46.22 lakh). She further said that the overwhelming response to the OTS scheme reflects the support of the citizens in financially strengthening the urban local bodies and ensuring better civic amenities.
