He appealed to the farmers of Samana sub-division and said that they should ensure that Super SMM is installed on the combine while harvesting paddy. He said that sometimes the combine owners do not use Super SMS to save oil, which has to be borne by the farmer. He said that the officials of Agriculture Department, Punjab Pollution Prevention Board will check the combines running in the fields and if any combine is found harvesting without Super SMS then its challan will be deducted on the spot.
