Nepal-Compensation to the families of martyrs.

Nepal:- Important decisions have been taken in the first cabinet meeting of the Sushila Karki government of Nepal. The government has decided to provide Rs 10 lakh as compensation to the families of those killed during the Gen-Z movement. In addition, Rs 5 lakh will be given to each family for other essential expenses.

The government has declared all those killed in the Gen-Z movement as martyrs. Along with this, it has also been decided to observe September 17 (1 Asoj) every year as a day of mourning. The government has taken a principled decision to constitute a high-level judicial inquiry commission for an impartial investigation into the incidents that took place during the Gen-Z movement. The interim government has also decided to withdraw all the proposals presented in the cabinet by the former Oli cabinet.
The government has decided to build a Gen-Z Memorial Park in memory of those who died in the Gen-Z movement, so that their sacrifice does not go in vain and can serve as an inspiration for future generations.
