
Eat Right Walkathon and Eat Right Mela emphasize on eating natural and clean food
Patiala, February 20- Punjab Medical Education and Research and Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Balbir Singh attended the Eat Right Walkathon (Walk) and Eat Right Mela organized in collaboration with the District Administration and Food Drug Administration as the Chief Guest. Mayor Kundan Gogia and ADC (Urban Development) Navreet Kaur Sekhon were also present on the occasion.

Mayor Kundan Gogia and ADC (Urban Development) Navreet Kaur Sekhon were also present on the occasion.
Dr. Balbir Singh flagged off the Eat Right Walkathon and started the fair by releasing balloons. School children gave him a warm welcome. He inspected the stalls set up in the fair. He appealed to the people to eat clean and natural food, fruits and home-made food.
He said that the main objective of this fair is to make people aware about healthy food and old traditional food like Ragi, Bajra and motivate them to use fresh fruits in their daily life so that they can live a healthy life free from diseases.
The main attractions of the fair were Eat Right Selfie Point, cultural programs, famous food stalls of Patiala district, Food Safety on Wheels exhibition and food vans. District Health Officer Dr Gurpreet Kaur said that Eat Right Mela is not just a fair but an exchange medium to increase awareness about healthy living and food.
Mayor Kundan Gogia, ADC (Urban Development) Navreet Kaur Sekhon, Civil Surgeon Dr Jagpal Inder Singh, Food Department's Dr Jasvir Gandhi and officers and employees of the Health Department were present on the occasion.
