Kapurthala (Paigam-E-Jagat) - Senior leaders leading Aam Aadmi Party Kapurthala, including Punjab Government institutions (member of Punjab State Council for Science and Technology Department Chandigarh), international poet Kanwar Iqbal Singh, District President "AAP" Vyapaar Mandal Kapurthala, Parvinder Singh Architect Joint Secretary Aam Aadmi Party Punjab and their associates, held a special meeting with Municipal Corporation Kapurthala Commissioner Madam Anupam Kler and other officials.
Kanwar Iqbal Singh informed that some colonies in the area include City Enclave near Topkhana School, Aman Enclave, South City Kartarpur Road, East Enclave, Kunj Vihar Phase No. 1 and Phase 2, Chopra Colony Green Park Kapurthala etc. along with other colonies whose maps have been approved by the Municipal Corporation and NOC has been issued to them.
The residents of those colonies are paying all kinds of taxes but are still deprived of other basic amenities like sewerage and roads. After the complaints being made by the residents of those colonies by reaching the office of these leaders from time to time, the leaders; It was too late to bring this whole matter to the attention of Madam Anupam Kler that she first sent the higher officers of the corporation to survey some colonies on priority basis so that they could be aware of the ground reality.
After the survey conducted jointly by the said party leaders and the officers of the corporation, during the meeting held at the corporation office, the Municipal Commissioner Madam Anupam Kler instructed the team of Town Planner and Additional Town Planner; that notices should be issued to the colonizers of these colonies that were declared illegal as soon as possible so that they can deposit their dues to the municipal corporation soon and the colonies can be declared official and the stalled development works can be started on priority basis.
The said senior party leader while talking to the media said that if the residents of the area are facing any kind of problem in any department, they can contact us anytime. We promise on behalf of the Punjab government that those problems will be resolved as soon as possible.
