Garhshankar- Demanded to immediately ban social sites that hurt religious harmony. Principal Dr. Amandeep Hira and all the staff of Babbar Akali Memorial Khalsa College, which is run under the management of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, protested against the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology to create videos of sacrilege of Sikh Gurus and Sri Harmandir Sahib Sri Darbar Sahib and upload them on social sites and demanded from the government that the government should immediately take strict action against the elements who commit such heinous acts.
Along with this, it was also demanded to immediately ban social sites that hurt religious harmony so that this cannot be done in the future. Principal Dr. Amandeep Hira said that the way sacrilege videos are being created and made viral using AI technology has deeply hurt the hearts of Sikhs and this is unacceptable.
He said that these incidents have not only challenged the dignity of Sikhism but have also increased intolerance in the society. The government should take such cases seriously and take strict action against the culprits. He demanded that the chat boxes running on social media platforms be banned so that no one is allowed to hurt religious sentiments.
He demanded that the legal aspect should be strengthened to regulate AI technology so that religious, heritage and culture can be protected. Dr. Hira said that the government should make AI rules strict and impose strict punishments against the culprits.
