Nawanshahr - Under the orders of Chief Electoral Officer Punjab, the guidelines of Deputy Commissioner cum District Election Officer Navjot Pal Singh Randhawa and the able leadership of Rajeev Verma Additional Deputy Commissioner-cum-Nodal Officer Sweep for the preparation of Lok Sabha Elections 2024 assistant sweep of the district. Nodal Officer Satnam Singh, Assistant Professor Hardeep Kaur of Politics Department from BLM Girls College Nawan Shahr and Computer Faculty Unkar Singh held a meeting at Anganwadi Center in Skohpur village of the district under Ghar Ghar Dastak Campaign to educate the voters of the district.
Assistant Sweep Nodal Officer Satnam Singh said that with the aim of ensuring hundred percent participation in the Lok Sabha elections and creating awareness in the district, door-to-door knocking campaign has been launched. So that on the day of elections, the proud day of the country, the voters can use their vote properly and contribute to electing a suitable government for the development of their state and the country. He sensitized the voters of Skohpur village about the mission of Election Commission of India slogan “Is Baar Sattar Par” and encouraged them to exercise their right to vote. On this occasion, Hardeep Kaur said that we women should use their right to vote without any pressure, fear, greed and caste and should contribute to the overall development of the country.
