
Special camp on financial inclusion saturation and re-KYC organized in BDO office Amb.
Amb (Una), August 29- Under the Financial Inclusion Saturation Campaign being run by the Department of Financial Services and the Reserve Bank of India till September 30, a special camp awareness camp was organized today (Friday) in the conference room of BDO office Amb. The villagers participated enthusiastically in this camp and were provided detailed information about various financial schemes and services.
Amb (Una), August 29- Under the Financial Inclusion Saturation Campaign being run by the Department of Financial Services and the Reserve Bank of India till September 30, a special camp awareness camp was organized today (Friday) in the conference room of BDO office Amb. The villagers participated enthusiastically in this camp and were provided detailed information about various financial schemes and services.
During this, Regional Director RBI Anupam Kishore emphasized the necessity of re-KYC and informed the people present about the measures to be cautious in digital financial transactions and to avoid fraud.
About 200 people participated in this awareness camp, in which re-KYC of 115 people was done on the spot and many beneficiaries got enrolled in insurance and pension schemes and 2 people were given a claim cheque of Rs 2-2 lakh each under the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana on the spot.
He said that the objective of this program, which will run till September 30, is to organize at least one camp in every Gram Panchayat of the country and provide information related to banking services, social security schemes, pension schemes, re-KYC and digital security to the general public.
During the program, Neeraj Kumar Anand provided detailed information about the objectives, eligibility and benefits of Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana and Atal Pension Yojana.
He said that through these schemes, the government is committed to providing banking and social security facilities to every citizen. He appealed to the villagers to take advantage of these schemes by contacting their nearest bank branch and banking correspondent and ensure active participation in the direction of financial empowerment.
The villagers appreciated this initiative and said that such campaigns are significantly increasing financial literacy and access to banking facilities at the village level.
In this awareness camp, Regional Director of Reserve Bank of India Anupam Kishore, Zonal Head of Punjab National Bank Neeraj Kumar Anand, Assistant General Manager of Reserve Bank Ashish Sharma, Chief District Lead Manager Sanjeev Kumar Saxena, Zonal Head of UCO Bank Kamal Kumar Sharma, Chief Manager of Central Bank of India Rajneesh Kumar Patidar and Punjab National Branch Manager Arvind Bhardwaj along with senior officials of various banks were present.
