Hisar/Hansi:– Congress leader Gayatri Devi has expressed deep concern over the heavy damage caused to the crops of farmers and houses of poor families due to recent heavy rains and waterlogging. 
She has demanded from the government and the district administration that the affected areas should be surveyed immediately and proper compensation and relief should be provided to the affected farmers and families without delay. Gayatri Devi said that this time the rain has badly affected the farmers. 
Standing crops in many villages have been completely destroyed, due to which the livelihood of the farmers is in danger. Apart from this, due to waterlogging, the kutcha houses of the poor have collapsed and tube wells and agricultural equipment have also been damaged.
She said that the government should take immediate and concrete steps for the people affected by this disaster, so that the affected families can get relief and they can make their living normal again.

Gayatri Devi put forward the following demands:
1. The affected farmers should be given proper compensation for the loss of their crops.
2. Government financial assistance should be provided for the repair and reconstruction of the houses of the poor.
3. A special relief package should also be prepared for damaged tube wells and agricultural implements.
4. The administration should go from village to village and speed up the survey work, so that no affected family is deprived of relief.
Congress leader Gayatri Devi said that if the government and administration do not take timely action, it would be injustice to the affected families.
