Mrs. Jyotsna Singh SDM Fatehgarh Churian and Kalanaur said that under the leadership of the Deputy Commissioner Gurdaspur, services are being provided to the people in a transparent and smooth manner through the ‘Easy Registry’ system. She said that with Easy Registry, the common people are not facing any problem and their time is also being saved a lot.
Gurmeet Singh, who reached the Tehsil Office Kalanaur to get registered with the Easy Registry System, said that he has been registered in a very easy and correct manner, there was no hassle and only the due fee has been charged. He said that no additional cost has been charged and he is very happy about this step taken by the government for the welfare of the people.
Gurdev Singh, who came to get registered in this way, said that the staff of the Tehsil Office provided full cooperation and after scrutinizing the papers, he got registered with the Easy Registry System in half an hour. Only the due fee has been charged from him. He further said that the entire process from entering the office to completing the registration and receiving the registration documents took about half an hour. He appealed to the people to take advantage of the Easy Registry System, as it saves a lot of time.
Speaking on the occasion, Advocate Resham Singh Pannu said that he has been appointed by the government for the convenience of the people and he sits here from 9 am to 5 pm. He said that before registering, registration is done only after checking all the papers, due to which people do not have to wander here and there.
Speaking on the occasion, Tehsildar Rajinder Singh said that the Punjab government has started the Easy Registration Project keeping in mind the convenience of the people. He said that whoever has to get the registration done, gets the papers done through the lawyer appointed by the government and after completing all the papers, the registry is submitted by paying the government fee and the registration process is completed within an hour. He said that 10 registrations have been done under ‘Easy Registry’.
He said that the aim of the smooth, seamless registration process is to free people from unnecessary hassles. This has eliminated hidden costs and reduced dependence on middlemen. He further said that the government has adopted a zero tolerance policy against corruption and if anyone demands a bribe, then his information must be given.
