
1633 crores of paddy has been paid to the farmers in Patiala district: DC
Patiala, November 1 - Farmers of Patiala district have been paid Rs 1633.77 crore for their crops which is 100 percent. Giving information in this regard, Deputy Commissioner Dr Preeti Yadav said that 780034 metric tons of paddy has arrived in the markets of the district till yesterday and 765851 metric tons of paddy has been purchased by the procurement agencies.

Giving information in this regard, Deputy Commissioner Dr Preeti Yadav said that 780034 metric tons of paddy has arrived in the markets of the district till yesterday and 765851 metric tons of paddy has been purchased by the procurement agencies. He said that the arrival of 12767 metric tons of paddy was done in the markets yesterday and 24146 metric tons of paddy was lifted.
The Deputy Commissioner said that 340459 metric tons of paddy has been purchased from Pangrain, 186226 metric tons from Markfed, 143945 metric tons from Pansp, 93536 metric tons from Punjab State Warehouse Corporation. While FCI has purchased 1685 metric tons of paddy.
Deputy Commissioner Dr Preeti Yadav appealed to the farmers to prefer using in situ or ex situ techniques for stubble management so as to prevent diseases caused by polluted environment. He said that farmers can use the 'Unnat Kisan' app to book the machinery.
