Hoshiarpur- Like every year, this time too, the fair of Mata Chintpurni Ji is being celebrated with great devotion and enthusiasm. Devotees from different parts of the country are visiting the Mata Chintpurni temple located in Himachal Pradesh through Hoshiarpur city. Amidst the langars organized by religious institutions in the city and the huge crowd of devotees, the Municipal Corporation Hoshiarpur has made special arrangements for cleanliness and environmental conservation.
Municipal Corporation Commissioner Jyoti Bala Mattu said that special cleaning arrangements have been made on the main routes of the city. Sanitizers have been deployed at the places where langars are arranged, who are ensuring cleanliness daily. Apart from this, the vehicles of the Municipal Corporation are running continuously to collect the garbage collected from the langars daily.
For environmental protection, the Municipal Corporation has distributed dustbins and biodegradable disposables in the langars. This time, it has been specifically ordered that single-use plastic will not be used during the fair. Strict instructions have been given to the institutions and the enforcement team formed under the leadership of the Joint Commissioner is checking the langars daily. Challans are also being issued to those who violate the rules.
The Commissioner has appealed to the city residents and devotees to avoid single-use plastic during the fair and always throw the garbage generated after consuming langar or other food in the dustbin. He said that the beauty of the city and protection of the environment is possible only when every citizen fulfills his responsibility.
With these efforts of the Municipal Corporation, this time's Mata Chintpurni Fair has not only become a symbol of devotion, but is also giving a message of cleanliness and environmental protection.
