Chief Electoral Officer Punjab conducted quarterly inspection of EVM warehouse in Hoshiarpur.

Hoshiarpur- As per the order of Election Commission of India, quarterly inspection of EVM warehouse established in Hoshiarpur district for June 2025 was done today by Chief Electoral Officer of Punjab Sibin C. This inspection was done in the presence of Additional Deputy Commissioner (Election) Amarbir Kaur Bhullar, in which representatives of various political parties also participated.

Hoshiarpur- As per the order of Election Commission of India, quarterly inspection of EVM warehouse established in Hoshiarpur district for June 2025 was done today by Chief Electoral Officer of Punjab Sibin C. This inspection was done in the presence of Additional Deputy Commissioner (Election) Amarbir Kaur Bhullar, in which representatives of various political parties also participated.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development) Nikas Kumar, Assistant Commissioner Oyashi Mandal were also present on this occasion.
During the inspection, the warehouse was opened and the condition of EVM and VVPAT machines, security arrangements, sealing system and CCTV surveillance system were seriously inspected. Along with this, all the related records, logbooks and entry registers were also checked, so that transparency is maintained in the entire process.
Chief Electoral Officer Sibin C. said that quarterly inspection of EVM warehouse is a regular and mandatory process which is done in every district as per the scheduled time. Its objective is to maintain fairness, security and transparency in the electoral process.
He expressed satisfaction that the warehouse arrangements in Hoshiarpur district were found to be of the highest standards. Representatives of political parties said that this initiative of the Election Commission strengthens the faith of the general public in the democratic process and removes the misconceptions about the fairness of the machines.
On this occasion, Bhushan Kumar Sharma from BJP, Rajneesh Tandon from Congress, Jaspal Singh and Jai Ram from AAP, Madan Singh Bains from BSP, Nodal Officer EVM Balwinder Singh, Assistant Nodal Officer Jaspal Singh and Rupinderpal Singh, PWD Excise Officer Gurmeet Singh, SDO Tilak Raj, Tehsildar Election Harminder Singh, Election Kanungo Deepak Kumar, Lakhvir Singh, Rajan Monga were also present.
