
Martyrdom Ceremony Held at Qila Lohgarh Sahib
SAS Nagar, June 10 – Martyrdom ceremonies were held at Qila Lohgarh Sahib, the capital of Baba Banda Singh Ji Bahadur, to commemorate the martyrdom of Baba Banda Singh Ji Bahadur, and the foundation stone of the Darbar Sahib building was laid. On this occasion, during the Gurbani Samagam, Sant Baba Manmohan Singh Waran Wale performed Kirtan. Bhai Gulzar Singh also participated in the Kirtan, and the Dhadi Jatha of Bhai Sukhwinder Singh Changiyara enthralled the Sangat by narrating the episode of Baba Ji’s martyrdom.

On this occasion, Baba Balveer Singh, the 14th Mukhi of the 96 Crore Shiromani Panth Akali Budha Dal, explained how Baba Banda Singh Ji was martyred. He said that the heart of Baba Ji’s son Bhai Ajay Singh was cut out and put in Baba Ji’s mouth, Baba Ji’s flesh was torn with pincers, and then his eyes were gouged out and he was martyred.
On this occasion, Jathedar Amandeep Singh Abiana said that the map of the building of Darbar Sahib has been prepared by Jagmohan Singh Nagi Associates, a Mohali-based company.
He said that the civil work is being done by SDO Bhupinder Singh Somal, and a very beautiful building will be ready here in the coming time. On this occasion, SGPC member S. Baldev Singh Kayampuri also shared his views. Mahant Baba Harnek Singh of Lohgarh Sahib thanked the Sangat present.
On the occasion, among others, Satwinder Singh Chawla, Sukhdev Singh Wajidpur, Kartar Singh Tasimbli, Gurjant Singh Dhillon Sarpanch Kurdi, Chanchal Singh Mukkar, Parminder Singh, Ranjodh Singh Jaildar, Kuldeep Singh Mauli, Jagdish Singh Kumbhra, Jaswinder Singh Kumbhra, Jaspreet Singh Badi, Sikander Singh Bhakharpur, Atma Singh Bhakharpur, Jarnail Singh Mirzapur, Jaspal Singh, Mahant Karam Singh, Baba Jasvir Singh, Baba Sukhdev Singh etc were present.
