Garhshankar- On the occasion of World No Tobacco Day, observed on May 31, 2025, Civil Hospital, Garhshankar organized a special pledge ceremony. The main objective of the event was to spread awareness about the harmful effects of tobacco and to promote a tobacco-free lifestyle.
The event was held in the hospital premises and witnessed participation from doctors, nursing staff, other hospital employees, nursing students, and local residents. Under the leadership of the Senior Medical Officer, all attendees took a pledge to stay away from tobacco and committed to motivating others to quit tobacco use.
During the event, informative talks were delivered to educate people on the significance of World No Tobacco Day and the health impacts of tobacco. A special awareness session was also held for patients and their attendants.
Civil Hospital, Garhshankar remains committed to public health initiatives and will continue to play its role through anti-tobacco awareness, counseling, and treatment services in the future as well.
