Garhshankar, May 28: The drug de-addiction campaign being run by the Punjab government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is getting huge public support in various villages of Hoshiarpur district. Local leaders, administrative officers, youth and common citizens are participating enthusiastically in the anti-drug marches being taken out across the district.

Local leaders, administrative officers, youth and common citizens are participating enthusiastically in the anti-drug marches being taken out across the district.
MLA from Garhshankar and Deputy Speaker of Punjab Assembly Jai Krishna Singh Raudi appealed to the youth to stay away from drugs by conducting awareness programs in villages Bihra, Kukra, Bathla, Helan, Jasowal and Jeevanpur Jattan of Garhshankar constituency. On this occasion, he said that drug smugglers pushing the youth into drug addiction will not be spared at any cost.
He appealed to the village level security committees to ensure that no outsider or insider is able to supply drugs in the villages. On this occasion, he appealed to the youth trapped in drug addiction to give up drugs and join the mainstream of society.
Finally, he said that the Punjab government is committed to keeping the youth away from drugs and this campaign will continue till the society becomes completely free from drugs. He appealed to all the citizens to participate enthusiastically in this campaign and cooperate in making their area drug free.
