Yogeshwar Singh Randhawa said that this is not just a memorial, but a voice that will continue to demand justice. He said that this step of the university will continue to alert governments about such incidents and this place will continue to irritate the Canadian justice system until justice is done.
It is worth mentioning that in September 1985, a time bomb placed on a plane named Kanishka, which was going from Montreal to Delhi, was detonated in the air, after which its debris was not even found in the sea.
After years of investigation in this regard, the court had acquitted the alleged culprits 10 years ago due to lack of evidence. The passengers who died in this accident, most of whom were Indians, including the family of a former Punjab minister, have been demanding justice.
Earlier, former Prime Minister Justin Trudeau had said that he would investigate it, but no investigative agency has been entrusted with the responsibility of it.
