
‘War on Drugs’; Punjab government’s campaign against drugs is getting public support.
Hoshiarpur- The anti-drug campaign being run by the Punjab government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is getting huge public support in all the assembly constituencies of Hoshiarpur district.

Local MLAs, administrative officers, social organizations, youth and citizens enthusiastically participated in the anti-drug yatras being organized across the district. In Shamchurasi assembly constituency, under the leadership of Cabinet Minister Dr. Ravjot Singh, drug de-drug programs were organized in Chak Gujar, Dhakhi and Bassi Kale Khan in which a large number of villagers participated and showed solidarity against drugs.
In Chabbewal assembly constituency, Lok Sabha member Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal and MLA Dr. Ishank Kumar led the yatras in Chansu Brahmin, Khanni and Rampur villages and made people aware of the ill effects of drugs. In Garhshankar, the Deputy Speaker of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha appealed to the youth to stay away from drugs by conducting awareness programs in Wahidpur, Chahalpur and Monowal villages.
MLA Brahm Shankar Jimpa took out rallies in Allahabad, Bajwara and Harkrishan Nagar and appealed to the general public to unite against drugs. In Udmur Tanda constituency, MLA Jasvir Singh Raja Gill held awareness rallies in Koi, Brauhi and Narur.
In Dasuha, MLA Karambir Singh Ghuman took out yatras in Kakoa, Bhatoli and Rachpalwan. In Mukerian, Halqa In-charge Prof. G.S. Multani led an anti-drug campaign in Dugri Rajput, Sulehriya Khurd and Tanda Ram Sahai.
In their address, the public representatives said that the Punjab government is committed to keeping the youth away from drugs and this campaign will continue until the society is completely free from drugs. He appealed to all citizens to actively participate in this campaign and cooperate in making their constituencies drug-free.
