Patiala, February 25- District Controller, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Patiala, Ruppreet Kaur conducted a surprise inspection of the depots. She said that as per the guidelines of the government, the department is reviewing the wheat distribution across Punjab and under this, wheat distribution is also being checked in Patiala district.
Rooppreet Kaur said that as per the instructions of the State Food Commission, she conducted a surprise inspection of the wheat being distributed under the National Food Security Act, 2013 and Smart Ration Card Scheme from January to March. During this, she inquired about the eligibility of the consumers present there and after knowing about the problems they are facing, she instructed to solve them immediately.
DFSC said that while they are going to the field themselves, they are also sending their field staff to the field for inspection during wheat distribution so that no negligence is committed by the depot holders during wheat distribution.
