Hansi: Employees started a sit-in protest against SDO in the urban office of Electricity Corporation situated on Railway Road. Employees say that the sit-in will continue till their demands are not met. The sit-in was chaired by City Sub Unit Pradhan Rajendra Kathuria. The stage was conducted by Urban Sub Unit Secretary Madan Lal.
Unit Secretary Shivendra Saini clarified that till the legitimate demands of the employees are not resolved, this sit-in will continue. Unit Pradhan Vikas Nehra said that the Urban Sub Divisional Officer is constantly harassing the employees.
He is avoiding solving their problems. Whereas clear orders have been given to XEN by sending letters repeatedly that the problems should be resolved by holding a meeting with the union officials. SDO is constantly ignoring the orders.
He also informed that LL One charging cases are being ignored and the pending complaint against the SDO in the department includes the allegation that he sold departmental goods to scrap dealers and took money in connivance with the JE to pass the solar file.
The employee leaders warned that if there is any kind of disruption in power supply during the protest, the entire responsibility will be of the Urban Sub-Divisional Officer.
Narnaund Pradhan Jaiprakash Soni, Secretary Satyawan Sharma, Shamsher Singh from Mundhal, Pradhan Satish Lohan from Sisay, Umra Pradhan Surendra Singh, Sub Urban Pradhan Suresh Bisla, Secretary Naveen Singh Ahluwalia were present in the protest.
