District Education Officer held a special meeting, emphasised on increasing enrollment in schools and boosting the morale of teachers.

Hoshiarpur- District Education Officer (Secondary Education) Lalita Arora organized an important meeting with the Block Primary Education Officers and Block Nodal Officers of the district in her office. In this meeting, various issues were discussed in detail to improve the education system, which included increasing enrollment of students in schools, following instructions regarding mid-day meal, progress of Mission Samarth and timely supply of books, training of 5994 newly appointed teachers.

In this meeting, various issues were discussed in detail to improve the education system, which included increasing enrollment of students in schools, following instructions regarding mid-day meal, progress of Mission Samarth and timely supply of books, training of 5994 newly appointed teachers.
During the meeting, District Education Officer Lalita Arora gave clear instructions that the education officer should not only play the role of an investigator during the inspection of schools, but should go to the schools as a mentor.
She said that when officers play the role of a supporter and guide, it increases the morale of the teachers and they perform their duties with more enthusiasm. She said that increasing enrollment in schools is the priority of the department and for this every officer will have to work at the ground level. While reviewing the ongoing activities under Mission Samarth, he said that this mission is an important step towards increasing the learning ability of students, which should be implemented effectively in every school. Talking about the supply of books, he directed all BPEOs and nodal officers to ensure timely and correct delivery of books, so that there is no hindrance in the studies of the students.
He called for working with team spirit to speed up the departmental work and ensure accountability. On this occasion, District Coordinator Harminder Singh, District Coordinator Rajneesh Kumar Guliani, Senior Assistant Anirudh Modgil, Block Primary Education Officer Charanjit Sidhu, Rajkumar, Jaswinder Pal Bansal, Omkar Soos, Meenakshi Vishisht, Gurdev Singh Dhillon, Baljit Singh, committee and other officers were also present in the meeting. The objective of the meeting was to implement the plans of the education department and improve the quality of government schools. At the end of the meeting, the District Education Officer asked all the officials to regularly visit the field and submit the report of their work on time. He said that everyone will have to work with dedication for the bright future of the students.
