SAS Nagar December 27, 2024- Assistant Commissioner (General) Ankita Kansal informed that arms license and allied services were started in September 2019 through e-Sewa portal. In the letter number PSEGS-SKOSRVC/4/2020- PSEGS-DEPT-DGR/1/987177/2024 dated 11 December 2024 of the Director, Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances addressed to the Deputy Commissioners of all the districts, it is written that after the launch of the e-Sewa portal, 47118 licensees have not received any service in this portal till now.
According to the list of the said licensees whose list has been uploaded on the website of this district https://sasnagar.nic.in, about one thousand licensees are from this district. The DGR department has written that for those licensees who are not connected with the e-Sewa portal, support for e-Sewa legacy licenses will be discontinued after January 01, 2025. The last date to apply for renewal of arms license on the e-Sewa portal of the concerned department is January 01, 2025.
Therefore, the licensees of this district who have not applied for renewal on the e-Sewa portal after the year 2019 should apply for renewal/renewal of their arms licenses through any of the service centers in this district before January 01, 2025.
If they do not apply for license renewal by the due date, the data of their arms licenses will not be updated on the e-Sewa portal. Further, further action will be initiated on their arms licenses as per rules/regulations without giving any notice.
