
Labour Department Hoshiarpur to organize Fast Track Court for the first time - Kang
Hoshiarpur-A Fast Track Court will be organized for the first time from May 13 to dispose of pending cases in the office of a Labour Commissioner. Giving this information, Assistant Labour Commissioner Hoshiarpur Jashandeep Singh Kang said that this court will start every Tuesday from 3:30 pm and will work parallel to the normal court hours.
Hoshiarpur-A Fast Track Court will be organized for the first time from May 13 to dispose of pending cases in the office of a Labour Commissioner. Giving this information, Assistant Labour Commissioner Hoshiarpur Jashandeep Singh Kang said that this court will start every Tuesday from 3:30 pm and will work parallel to the normal court hours.
He said that his office has identified those cases, which are pending for more than 2 years and these cases will now be dealt with in fast-track mode. He said that in the first phase, 12 cases have been identified under the Gratuity Payment Act 1972, which are pending for more than two years.
Thereafter, applications pending for more than two years under the Workmen's Compensation Act 1923, Payment of Wages Act 1936 and Minimum Wages Act 1948 will also be disposed of in the same manner. He said that hearings will be held on a weekly basis and the proceedings will be time-bound. This step has been taken to ensure the welfare of the workers and speedy dispensation of justice.
