Derabassi (Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar), September 6: Taking a noble initiative, District Legal Services Authority, Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar has extended a helping hand to the flood affected residents of Derabassi area.
Disclosing this, District and Sessions Judge-cum- Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Shri Atul Kasana said that in compliance with the instructions issued by Justice Shri Ashwani Kumar Mishra, Hon’ble Judge, Punjab and Haryana High Court and Executive Chairman, Punjab State Legal Services Authority, SAS Nagar, the District Court SAS Nagar has constituted ‘Five Core Committees’ to assist the flood victims which will ensure supply of essential items to the flood victims.
He further informed that under this campaign, Mrs. Surbhi Parashar, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority and Mrs. Navreet Kaur, Additional Civil Judge (Senior Division), Derabassi visited the flood affected areas under Derabassi block and distributed relief materials to 50 needy families in villages Sadhapur and Dangdehra. They assured the affected residents that the District Legal Services Authority would provide them all kinds of assistance.
