Hoshiarpur:- Chabbewal Vidhan Sabha MLA Dr. Ishank Kumar today visited the villages of the assembly constituency which have been badly affected by the recent heavy rains. During this, he visited Rajpur Bhaian, Mona Kalan, Fadma, Khanaura and Phuglana villages and interacted with the people and listened to their problems carefully.
Dr. Ishank Kumar assured the affected families that the Punjab Government and the district administration are fully with them and all possible help will be provided. He distributed relief materials to the needy families on the spot and said that there is no need for any affected family to worry.
The MLA said that special teams have been formed to assess the damage in the area which will prepare a report of the affected houses, roads and other structures as soon as possible and submit it to the district administration. He directed the officials to carry out relief and rescue work in all the affected villages at a fast pace so that people can return to normal life as soon as possible.
On this occasion, the MLA reviewed the affected places and interacted with the local people. He said that the problems caused due to rain are temporary, but together we will be able to overcome them. On this occasion, SDM Hoshiarpur Gursimranjit Kaur along with officials of various departments were present with him.
