SAS Nagar, May 5- Mohali Police has launched a campaign under the "War against Drugs" and Police Public Meeting to make senior citizens and others visiting Mohali parks with their children aware about the evils of drug abuse.
In this regard, DSP City 2 Mr. Harsimran Singh Bal informed that under the orders of District Police Chief Deepak Pareek, CCTV cameras will soon be installed at the entrances of Mohali parks. The work of installing cameras is underway. Installation of these cameras will help in keeping an eye on bad elements.
While meeting the senior citizens who had come to the park, he recalled the old days and said that a grandfather's first friend is his grandson and a grandson's last friend is his grandfather. Therefore, parents should continue this tradition so that today's generation remains connected with their family and the youth can share their problems with their grandparents.
He said that now the police will give information about the awareness campaign to the people who come to walk in the parks of Mohali in the morning and evening and will also listen to their problems. He said that children will also be included in this campaign of the police so that they can know about drug addiction like leprosy. SHO Phase 8 Satnam Singh and SHO Phase 11 Aman Baidwan were also present on this occasion.
