Chandigarh: 12th December, 2023: Punjab Engineering College (Deemed to be University), Chandigarh organized a one day online workshop on IEEE Quality Management Conference on 12th December, 2023. It was supported by IEEE Delhi Section and IEEE R-10 Asia Pacific and was funded by IEEE R-10 Conference Quality & Management Committee.
Chief Guest speaker was Mr. Deepak Mathur (Past Director Region 10 & VP Elect MGA) and Prof. Lance Fung (Director Region 10). Guest of honor of the conference was Prof. Takako Hashimoto. Director, PEC, Prof. Baldev Setia presided over the conference with his graceful presence. Along with him, Prof. Arun K Singh chaired the IEEE Chandigarh Subsection. 
The conference was mainly focused on the procedure of applying for IEEE Conference. It was followed by ethics for personal growth, Expectations, Organizing technically sponsored Society conferences and Post conference review Process. It also talked about sponsored management, budgeting and finance of conferences. 
Prof. Baldev Setia, in his presidential address, briefed about the glorious history of PEC. The great number of Alumnus inclusive of Prof. Satish Chandra Dhawan and Dr. Kalpana Chawla. He also talked about the variety of engineering branches offered by PEC. He further said that, parameters of quality and management are many and quantifying it is a difficult task. He congratulated the whole team and wished them luck for a fruitful outcome from this workshop.
Prof. Arun K Singh, welcomed the keynote speakers and outlined the conference to the audience. He briefed the features and the need for such kinds of conferences. He said that all the participants will get good quality insights from the conference.
Later on, Prof. Rajneesh (Secretary, IEEE Delhi Section provided a vote of thanks to all the participants.
The entire faculty members PEC were present physically and over 170 participants joined online for this conference.
