Electrical Engineering Branch Emerges as Overall Winner at Technovatee 2025

Kharar (SAS Nagar), April 29: The Innovation Cell of Government Polytechnic College Khunimajra, led by Dr. Anshu Sharma (Convenor) along with Dr. Anu Bala, Dr. Ravinder Kumar, and Dr. Sarabjit Kaur, successfully organized Technovatee 2025, an Interbranch and Intrabranch Project Display and Paper Presentation Competition.

Kharar (SAS Nagar), April 29: The Innovation Cell of Government Polytechnic College Khunimajra, led by Dr. Anshu Sharma (Convenor) along with Dr. Anu Bala, Dr. Ravinder Kumar, and Dr. Sarabjit Kaur, successfully organized Technovatee 2025, an Interbranch and Intrabranch Project Display and Paper Presentation Competition.
Divulging the details, Principal Ms. Raksha Kiran, said that the event saw enthusiastic participation from over 120 students across departments. In the Paper Presentation category, Vaibhav Ghosh and Yasshsvi (Second Semester, CSE) secured first prize for their paper on Cybersecurity. Harmanpreet Sharma and Maninder Singh (Electrical Engineering) shared second prize with Jasmeen Kaur and Lovepreet Kaur (MLT), while Nitin Nirala and Davinder Kumar (Civil) earned third prize for Green Building.
In the Project Display, Electrical Engineering clinched both first and second positions for Three Phase Fault Detection and Automatic Cattle Feeding System. CSE’s Tic Tac Toe Game shared second, and the third prize was jointly awarded to Mechanical and Electrical Engineering for Smart Car Parking and Agro Guard Pro. Consolation prizes went to Civil Engineering (Earthquake Resistant Buildings) and ECE (Home Automation).
The Electrical Engineering Department was declared overall winner, while Computer Science and Engg. and the Applied Department were joint runners-up. This triumph adds to a growing series of achievements for the department, as Electrical Engineering students in Innotech 2025 (Display of innovative project competition) held at PGSC Kapurthala also secured second place in the Miscellaneous category and third in Mechatronics under the mentorship of their project Incharge Dr Anshu Sharma. Awards in Technovatee 2025 were presented by Ms. Parveen Kaur (HOD, MOP). The support and mentorship of the HODs, including Mr. Ravinder Walia (CSE), Ms. Kavita Monga (Applied Science), Mr. Gurmail Singh (ECE), Mr. Sanjeev Jindal (Mechanical), and Officer In charge Mr. Gurbakshish Singh (Civil), were also appreciated. The organizers extend heartfelt thanks to all members of different committees for their dedicated efforts and seamless coordination in making the event a success.
