Kapurthala (Paigam-e-Jagat) As part of the series of events being held across the state under "Punjab Shiksha Kranti", the Government Primary and Middle Smart School Bhandal Dona, district Kapurthala, was dedicated to the students after the completion of renovation and maintenance work along with modern classrooms. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Mr. Sandeep Saini, Chairman Punjab BC Land and Finance Corporation, as the chief guest, and Kanwar Iqbal Singh, International Poet and Member Punjab State Council for Science and Technology Department, Punjab, as the special guest.
On this occasion, Cluster Incharge Principal Nanda, BNO Principal Ravinder Kaur (State Awardee), Punjab Shiksha Kranti District Coordinator Principal Gurcharan Singh Chahal, Mr. Tejbir Singh Nannara, Principal Kulbir Singh, DSP Gurnam Singh and Kapil Kumar Sonu etc. were also present. In this special event, the Punjab government sent a grant of Rs. 7,51,000/- to the government schools of the state for the development of school buildings and modern classrooms and Rs. 1,40,000/- for repair and maintenance to both the schools.
To inaugurate the works done using which, Mr. Sandeep Saini, Mr. Kanwar Iqbal Singh along with political party leaders and various representatives associated with the education department arrived. Primary School Head Mrs. Munazza Irshad and Middle School Incharge Mr. Amit Sharma welcomed the guests. After this, they informed everyone about the development works of the school and the all-round development of the students.
Special guest Kanwar Iqbal Singh, while talking about the various educational policies of the Punjab government and the education department, said that it has been a strong effort of the government and the department to maintain a good educational environment by providing facilities to the students from time to time. He also said that the appearance of the government primary/middle school itself shows how hardworking the teachers and students of these schools are.
In his words, he also highly appreciated the financial assistance provided by the village's NRIs Karam Singh Bhandal, Jaspal Calgary, Gary Bhandal and Parvinder Singh Bhinda for the development work of both the said schools. On this occasion, the school students also presented cultural activities to make the event more beautiful. The chief guest of the event, Mr. Sandeep Saini, said that such smart schools are seen to beat even private schools.
He also said that these government schools are playing an important role for the overall development of children and the Punjab government is always committed to the betterment of these educational institutions. Praising the school staff, he said that it is a matter of great pride for Government Middle School Bhandal Dona to receive the "Best School Award" from the state and this school is also worthy of it.
It is worth mentioning that the students of both the schools were highly appreciated by Mr. Sandeep Saini Ji for excelling in various fields at the district and state level.
