Garhshankar: 21st Gurmat awareness camp was organized under 'Kesh and Pagdi Sajja' under the leadership of Bhai Omkar Singh Bhunno. Bhai Omkar Singh told that this 11-day camp organized to connect children with Ura and Juda started with the words 'Dehi Shiva Bar Mohi Ihai'.
On this occasion, children aged five to eight years were made to chant the Mool Mantra and Gurmantra. Children aged 9 to 12 years recited Japji Sahib, Chaupai Sahib and all five verses of Anand Sahib. He told that 11 children took a pledge to keep Kesh.
It is worth mentioning that Giani Omkar Singh has been working for the protection of Ura and Juda under the patronage of Sri Akal Takht Sahib for the last 11 years as per the rules laid down by the Panth. So far, he has connected 250 children with Sikhism. He said that his aim is to make 500 children followers of Gurmat.
