Nawanshahr/Banga- The Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is committed to make the government schools of the state the best in every respect. Due to the historic decisions taken by the Punjab government in the field of education, people are enrolling their children in government schools.
This view was expressed by MLA Banga and Chairman of Punjab Container and Warehouse Corporation Dr. Sukhwinder Kumar Sukhi while inaugurating development works done at a cost of lakhs of rupees in various schools of the constituency. During this, he inaugurated modern classrooms, toilets, boundary walls and various other development works in various primary, high and senior secondary schools of Bahua, Mehli, Mandhiyali and Khothar.
He said that the Punjab government has started the Punjab Shiksha Kranti Abhiyan to make government schools even better, under which every facility is being provided in the schools.
He said that special attention is being paid to fulfilling every need including modern education system, educational tours to foreign countries to improve the teaching style of school teachers, Wi-Fi facility, boundary wall around schools, security guards, construction of new class rooms, clean toilets for students, playgrounds, clean drinking water, regular recruitment of teachers etc.
During this, apart from education officials, a large number of parents of students, teachers and dignitaries of the area were present.
