Wherever water stands, mosquitoes will breed - SMO Dr. Manpreet Bains

Hoshiarpur: As per the instructions of the Punjab Government and the orders of Civil Surgeon Hoshiarpur Dr. Pawan Kumar and under the able guidance of Senior Medical Officer Dr. Manpreet Singh Bains, a dengue survey was conducted in various villages under the block Harta Badla under the campaign "Every Friday Dengue and War" with the help of health workers and students of Rayat Bahra Nursing College and ST Nursing College. During this, the dengue survey was supervised on the spot by SMO Incharge Harta Badla.

Sharing information in this regard, Dr. Bains said that as per the orders of the Health Department Punjab, the dengue survey teams of CHC Harta Badla along with the students of the Nursing College conducted a joint dengue survey campaign under the title “Every Friday - Dengue and War”.
He said that under this campaign, the dengue survey teams and the students of the Nursing College went door to door to conduct a dengue larva survey and information was given about prevention from dengue by destroying the mosquito larvae found at many places on the spot.
He said that during the survey, the dengue mosquito larvae were also shown so that the common people could easily identify them. He said that today the Health Department conducted a dengue survey in the villages of Bohan, Harta, Khanaura, Manraiyan Khurd, Tajowal, Kahri, Khanpur, Bassi Mustafa, Bassi Kikran, Bank Colony, Mahilaanwali, Naru Nangal, Dengue survey was conducted in Jatpur, Boothgarh, Bhilowal.
He appealed to the general public to follow the instructions issued by the department and cooperate in this special campaign launched by the Health Department for prevention of dengue. Because unless people themselves are aware of it and do not pay attention to the cleanliness of stagnant water sources. Then dengue cannot be prevented. He said that dengue test and treatment/supportive treatment are done free of cost in government hospitals of the state.
