Hoshiarpur- MP Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal today inaugurated various works done at a cost of about Rs. 30 lakhs in three schools of Chabbewal Assembly Constituency under 'Shiksha Kranti' launched by Punjab Government and said that the state government is fully honest and committed to make education timely.
While inaugurating various works completed at a cost of Rs. 18.72 lakhs in Government Senior Secondary School Barian Kalan, Rs. 9.1 lakhs in Government Primary School Barian Kalan and Rs. 2.5 lakhs in Government Primary School Bhuno and distributing bicycles to the students, Lok Sabha Member Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal said that for the first time in the state, priority has been given to the education sector, the credit for which goes to the vision of Aam Aadmi Party Government and Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann.
He said that due to the sincere efforts of the government, not only the infrastructure of schools is getting strengthened, but along with major improvement in the level of education, teachers are being provided training in foreign institutions, as a result of which Punjab is emerging in a great way on the education map. Talking about the Punjab Government reserving 12 percent of the total budget of the state for the education sector, Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal said that the government is fully committed to strengthen the education sector in every aspect and Rs 17975 crore allocated for this purpose will give further boost to this sector.
He said that due to the efforts of the government, along with the necessary changes in the field of education, students are getting quality education in view of the competition in the current era, which will enable them to easily face the challenges in the country and abroad. He said that major improvements have been made in the infrastructure of the schools of Chabbewal constituency and these improvements will continue in future as well. District Education Officer Lalita Arora, principals of schools, teachers, students, parents and other personalities were present on the occasion.
