IFTU will celebrate International Labor Day in Nawanshahr.

Nawanshahr- Indian Federation of Trade Unions (IFTU) will celebrate International Labor Day on May 1 at the district level at Vishwakarma Mandir, Rahon Road, Nawanshahr, in which the issues of repealing the four labor codes and restoring the earlier labor laws, regularizing contract workers, scheme workers and outsourcing workers, allowing migrant laborers to go to any country without visa and stopping the deportation of migrant laborers from any country including America will be highlighted prominently.

IFTU District Committee meeting was held to prepare for this. Releasing the information of the meeting to the press, IFTU District President Gurdayal Rakkad and District Secretary Parveen Kumar Nirala said that a special campaign will be run from April 15 to April 30 for the preparation of May Day, under which meetings, flag marches and vigils will be held. After holding a conference on May Day, a grand demonstration will also be held in the city. Today's meeting was addressed by IFTU state president Kulwinder Singh Waraich, state joint secretary Avtar Singh Tari, state press secretary Jasbir Deep. Shiv Nandan, Bablu Kumar Saloh, Bharat Kumar, Jagira Bains, Kishore Kumar were also present in the meeting.
