
Fair Mata Maisarkhana today, preparations complete, lakhs of devotees will pay obeisance.
Maur Mandi, 2 April- Like every year, this year also the fair held on Chet day at the Durga Mata temple in Maisarkhana village is starting from 3 April. This temple is located just 5 km from Maur Mandi on Bathinda Mansa Road. This temple is a famous and historical temple of Malwa in Punjab. The history of this temple is very old.

Apart from lakhs of people, devotees from Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan come to this fair to have darshan of Mata. In this 8-day fair, devotees start coming from the first Navratri itself, while the fair is full on the day of Chet. Every year two big fairs are held on the day of Assu and Chet Navratri at the ancient Shri Durga temple. The Durga Mata fair held here is a world-class fair which is a symbol of Hindu-Sikh unity.
Devotees of Mata from the country and abroad come here to have darshan of Mata. In this regard, complete preparations have been made by Shri Sanatan Dharma Mahavir Dal Punjab and the district administration. Market Committee Maud has made proper arrangements for cleanliness around the temple. Proper arrangements for drinking water have also been made.
Under the command of District Captain Kewal Krishna Happy, about one thousand volunteers of Shri Sanatan Dharma Mahavir Dal Punjab will be on duty and these volunteers will be deployed on the roads. The temple committee has also made proper arrangements for langar. The temple has been decorated with colorful lights and flowers, which has become a center of attraction for the devotees.
