
Local Bodies Minister launches admission drive in government schools of the district
Hoshiarpur- While launching the admission drive in government schools launched by the School Education Department of Punjab Government from Government Elementary School Baghpur here today, Local Bodies Minister Dr. Ravjot Singh said that the Aam Aadmi Party government has brought about an education and health revolution in the state during the last three years, under which educational and health institutions have developed on a large scale.
Hoshiarpur- While launching the admission drive in government schools launched by the School Education Department of Punjab Government from Government Elementary School Baghpur here today, Local Bodies Minister Dr. Ravjot Singh said that the Aam Aadmi Party government has brought about an education and health revolution in the state during the last three years, under which educational and health institutions have developed on a large scale.
The Cabinet Minister said that in the last few months itself, the government has provided more than Rs 40 crore for the rejuvenation of government schools in the district, due to which all-round development of schools will be seen in the coming time.
Local Bodies Minister Dr. Ravjot Singh called upon the children to study in government schools and said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, government schools of the state have been made at par with today's era and world-class infrastructure has been established. He said that the aim of the admission drive is to make the children aware of all the facilities available in government schools and get them admitted in these schools.
He said that due to the farsightedness of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, teachers of government schools have been given training in countries like Singapore and Finland, which will be very beneficial for teachers and students. While flagging off the awareness van under the admission campaign, Dr. Ravjot Singh said that under the admission campaign started in the district from today, teachers, students and staff of various schools will be made aware about admissions in their respective areas.
He said that the funds of more than Rs 40 crore released for the rejuvenation of schools in the district include construction of school boundary wall, repair, construction of classrooms, further strengthening of infrastructure of School of Happiness, School of Eminence and other schools. Dr. Ravjot Singh, along with District Education Officer (S) Lalita Arora, Deputy DEOs Dheeraj Vashisht and Sukhwinder Singh, Sarpanch Gurpreet Kaur of village Baghpur, former Sarpanch Gurmeet Singh and school staff, started the distribution of uniforms to the students on behalf of the school.
On this occasion, students of Government College Hoshiarpur and Government School Baghpur presented various presentations related to the admission drive. The Cabinet Minister also felicitated the dignitaries and officers present.
