SAS Nagar, March 15- Mohali Police has arrested Maninderpal Singh alias Monty, who carried out the incident on the basis of confidential information in the murder case of scientist Abhishek Swarankar.
Giving information in this regard, DSP City 2 Harsimran Singh Bal said that Maninderpal Singh Monty has been arrested by a team led by Phase 11 police station head Gagandeep Singh. He said that the accused Maninderpal Singh Monty will be produced in the court of the duty magistrate on Sunday.
In this case, the father of the deceased Abhishek, Basuki Nath Sunar, resident of Sector 66, Mohali, had told the police in his complaint that Monty, who lived in his neighborhood, had fatally attacked his son Abhishek for parking a vehicle near his house and his son died in this attack.
According to the complainant, this dispute had been going on for the past one week and Monty was threatening his son. According to the complainant, he was also injured in this attack. His son Abhishek was his only support and he had served many countries as a scientist and was currently working at IZER in Mohali. The deceased's father has also provided the police with the CCTV footage of the incident. DSP Bal further said that the police found in the investigation of the CCTV footage that there was an argument between Monty and Abhishek over parking of the motorcycle and after an argument between the two, Monty pushed Abhishek and Abhishek fell down. When people pushed Monty back, Abhishek got up and stood up and again fell down unconscious. People took Abhishek to the hospital but the doctors declared him dead.
