Istri Jagriti Manch will celebrate 8th March as International Women's Day

Releasing the proceedings of the meeting to the press, the district leader of the organization Harbans Kaur Nawanshahr said that this time this program will be celebrated at Shaheed Malkit Chand Mahli Bhawan Banga Road Nawanshahr, which will start at 10 am. In this, the speakers will talk about the international women's movement and the challenges faced by women in the present times.
He said that Bibi Gurbakhsh Kaur Sangha led this organization for 31 years. She died on 20 December last year after a long illness. He said that the issue of women's safety remains very important in our country.
Violence against women, domestic violence, dowry harassment, discrimination in pay compared to men, discrimination in upbringing of girls and rape of women are such important issues which deserve attention of every sensitive person. He has requested the women to participate fully in this programme.
This meeting was addressed by Harbans Kaur Nawanshahr, Surjit Kaur Utal, Santosh Kumari Kural, Kiranjit, Shakuntala. Harbans Kaur Hiyala, Rajwinder Kaur Kattan, Harmila Kaur, Renu, Manju, Jyoti, Geeta Rani, Gurpal Kaur, Babli and Jasvir Kaur attended this meeting.
