
On 29.05.2024 in the morning Cyclothon was organized at Sukhna Lake by the Chief Electoral Officer, UT Chandigarh.
In order to raise awareness regarding polling day and casting votes, a Cyclothon was organised on 29.05.2024 in the morning at Sukhna Lake by the Chief Electoral Officer, U.T. Chandigarh, under the Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) Program. Sh. Vijay N. Zade, Chief Electoral Officer-cum-Finance Secretary, U.T. Chandigarh; Smt. Palika Arora, Nodal Officer, SVEEP –cum-Director Social Welfare; and Sh. J.S. Jayara, State Icon for PWD, U.T. Chandigarh, graced the event with their presence.

More than 100 cyclists of CYCLEGIRI team participated in the Cyclothon and raised the slogan related to 100 percent and ethical voting during the rally. Sh. Vijay N Zade, CEO, U.T., Chandigarh and Sh. J.S. Jayara, State Icon for PWD, U.T. Chandigarh flagged off the rally.
Sh. Vijay N. Zade, CEO, U.T. Chandigarh, encouraged the voters to participate in upcoming general elections and also inform them to about the importance of election and their vote. Sh. J.S. Jayara, State Icon for PWD, U.T. Chandigarh, appreciated efforts done by the Election Department, U.T., Chandigarh, in order to raise awareness regarding the importance of voting and polling day. He appeals to the public to cast their vote and motivated the public through his enthusiasm being a differently abled.
The polling day for Chandigarh Parliamentary Constituency is June 1, 2024, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Voters may dial the toll-free voter helpline number 1950 for all electoral services and information.
