Patiala, January 25- Patiala Range DIG Mandeep Singh Sidhu has said that Punjab Police is fully capable of dealing with all kinds of anti-social elements and anti-national and anti-social elements will be dealt with strictly. DIG Sidhu today, along with SSP Patiala Dr. Nanak Singh, reviewed the security arrangements at Polo Ground, where Republic Day celebrations are to be held.
On this occasion, while talking informally to the media, he said in clear words that Punjab Police is not afraid of the actions of any person sitting abroad who is misleading our youth. He said that Republic Day celebrations will be celebrated peacefully by Punjab Police and all necessary arrangements have been made by Patiala Police. When asked about the threat given by Gurpatwant Singh Pannu regarding the program to be held in Patiala, DIG Mandeep Singh Sidhu said that Punjab Police will soon put the absconding Gurpatwant Singh Pannu in a police canter and send him to Patiala jail.
He said that absconding Pannu gives threats while sitting abroad, whose sole purpose is to spread terror. He said that Pannu's tricks are only to collect money while sitting abroad. DIG said that he is trying to break the society, but he does not realize that it is not possible to break the communal harmony here.
