Nawanshahr (Des Raj Bali) Today, the Education Minister has shown his lack of seriousness towards education by not holding a meeting in Punjab Bhawan, Chandigarh on the invitation given by the Education Minister through a written letter. A protest was held in front of the house of Assembly Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan.
At this time, the Education Minister strongly condemned the Education Minister for not holding the meeting in a joint meeting chaired by Sukhwinder Singh Chahal. Digvijaypal Sharma, Baj Singh Khaira, Baljit Singh Salana, Surinder Kamboj, Surinder Kumar Puri, Sukhjinder Singh Harika, Sukhwinder Singh Sukhi, Gurbinder Singh Saskour, Rajinder Singh, Gurmeet Singh Jhorda, Sukhwinder Singh, Manpreet Singh, Tirlochan Singh, Jagdish Rai etc. were present in the meeting. Giving information in this regard, Kuldeep Singh Dudka said that the present government is responsible for not resolving the pending issues of teachers and pushing government education towards destruction, which wants to benefit the private education mafia by closing down government schools. Referring to the demands, the leaders said that the pay cut letter of PTI / Art and Craft teachers should be withdrawn, stations should be re-selected by showing all the vacant posts in the promotions of Lecturer and Master cadre, computer teachers should be shifted to Education Department instead of Pictus Society.
Implement pay revision and dearness allowance letter, cancel the anti-teacher rules of 2018, cancel the Education Policy 2020 and make the Education Policy of Punjab, withdraw the pay cut letter of teachers who participated in the national strike on 16 February 2024, restore the old pension scheme, S.L.A. Change the name of the post, appoint class wise teachers in primary schools and subject wise teachers in middle, high and senior secondary schools, make all kinds of temporary teachers including office staff permanent on full grade, make the staff of meritorious and ideal schools permanent in the education department, cancel the merger of middle schools, do the remaining promotions of all categories, immediately give orders to the remaining candidates in 873 DPE recruitment, remove students and teachers from education under CEP. 
They demanded that the creation of fake records should be stopped, all kinds of non-educational work should be stopped from teachers, salary should be doubled on high grade pay and 125 percent dearness allowance from January 2016, errors should be removed by issuing the remaining report of the Pay Commission, all allowances including rural allowance stopped in the name of amendment should be restored, the arrears of installments of doubling salary and dearness allowance should be released immediately and all the issues of teachers should be resolved. 
He appealed to the teachers and teacher organisations of Punjab to participate in large numbers in the protest being organised on January 19 in Anandpur Sahib, the constituency of the Education Minister.
