Hoshiarpur- As per the guidelines of Honorable Commissioner Food and Drug Administration Punjab Dr. Abhinav Trikha and Civil Surgeon Hoshiarpur Dr. Pawan Kumar Shagotra, under the Sehatmand Punjab Abhiyan, meaningful efforts are being made by the Food Safety Team of Health Department to make people aware about providing clean and quality food items in the district.
Under this, today a special camp was organized for registration and license for shopkeepers in Amroh village near Talwara under the leadership of Food Safety Officer Munish Sodhi. In which about 28 shopkeepers of nearby villages selling food items participated. They were informed about the departmental rules and their registration was done on the spot and licenses were made.
Food Safety Officer Munish Sodhi while addressing the shopkeepers said that they should not sell any expired food items, but destroy such items immediately so that no person's health is compromised. If any shopkeeper is found selling expired goods, legal action will be taken against him as per rules. LT Rajveer Kaur, Arvinderjit Singh and Naresh Kumar were present on this occasion.
