Mohali administration helps 80 candidates get jobs during job fair

SAS Nagar, December 11, 2024: Mohali Administration and District Employment and Entrepreneurship Bureau in collaboration with about 19 private employment providing companies offered attractive jobs to 80 aspirants based on their qualifications and experience in a job fair organized today at the campus of Government Industrial Training Institute, Phase 5, Mohali.

SAS Nagar, December 11, 2024: Mohali Administration and District Employment and Entrepreneurship Bureau in collaboration with about 19 private employment providing companies offered attractive jobs to 80 aspirants based on their qualifications and experience in a job fair organized today at the campus of Government Industrial Training Institute, Phase 5, Mohali.
Deputy Commissioner, Ashika Jain said, “This job fair was organized as a commitment to provide opportunities to unemployed/employed fresh or experienced youth with qualifications ranging from middle to post-graduation ITI, diploma and other short-term skilled courses”.
While handing over the employment letters to the successful job seekers, Deputy Commissioner Jain said that the remaining job seekers who could not succeed today should prepare for the next round. He informed that a total of 182 job seekers participated in the job fair today. D Mart, PVR Cinemas. Around 21 companies like ICICI Bank, LIC, PhonePe, Zomato, Zomato, Swiggy, Blinkit, Zepto, Elena, Industrial Tools, Ariel Telecom, Nick Bakers, Pro Talk Solutions, Mahindra Swaraj, Gillard Auto Industries, Circle of Crust etc. participated in the job fair as job providers.
Interacting with job seekers and job providers during his visit to the job fair, he said that Mohali, being the most preferred destination of investors and businessmen, holds immense employment potential for the youth with big dreams and ambitions. He said that there is a huge potential for employment of skilled manpower in various fields in these companies. Therefore, the youth should have proper education and training in at least employment oriented skills to rise high in their careers.
Advising them, he asked them to bring an effective CV to every job fair, which should contain all the details about their education and other skills they have, so that they can directly interact with companies in their desired field. The Deputy Commissioner also urged them to stay with one job provider for a certain period of time to gain experience and expertise to make their job profile more stable and more competitive in that particular field.
The Deputy Commissioner said that there is immense potential for our young generation in our country. Therefore, we should focus on our career here.
Addressing the job providers, he appealed to them to tell them the requirements of the required skilled manpower so that the district administration can help them in providing candidates as per the requirements.
He appreciated the efforts of ADC (Development) Sonam Chaudhary (CEO, DBEE), Deputy Director Harpreet Singh Manshahia, Deputy CEO Sukhman Bath and Employment Officer Sukhman Mann, who are being done in the form of these job fairs to make the youth self-reliant and capable and contribute to the economic development of the country.
