SAS Nagar, November 27 - Leaders of SC BC Mahapanchayat Punjab met National Commission for Scheduled Castes Chairman Mr. Kishor Makwana at Phase 7, Mohali.
Senior members like Renu Bala (former Director Welfare), Anil Adiwal and Gajinder Singh attended the meeting led by Morcha leader Balwinder Singh Kumbhara. They informed about the increasing harassment of SC community in Punjab and the problem of fake caste certificates.
Mr. Balwinder Singh said that problems like murder of two youths of Kumbhara village by migrants, scams in the money coming for people living below poverty line and disregard of government orders were discussed in this meeting.
The Chairman assured that he will visit Punjab in December and seek answers from the concerned officials in front of the victims.
