Quarterly meeting of Zila Parishad held

During this, ADC Una Mahendra Pal Gurjar was also present. In the meeting, the members placed various problems related to their respective District Council areas before the respective office heads. In the meeting, the approval of income expenditure of the works done from 1 July to 31 October, the action plan for the year 2024-25 under the 15th Finance Commission and the supplementary action plan of MNREGA were approved.
In the meeting, Zila Parishad member Gagret Sushil Kalia raised the issue of obstruction in the flow of rivers and drains due to people throwing the waste concrete coming out after demolishing old houses into ditches and drains. On this the Executive Officer directed to submit a written complaint to the administration so that action can be taken against such people as per rules under the Disaster Management and Authority Act. Apart from this, member Sushil Kalia said that along with fertilizers, seeds should also be supplied to the cooperative societies in the villages so that there is no problem of shortage of employees.
The ADC directed to install solar lights on the remaining one kilometer route from Mubarakpur to Karluhi through Mata Shri Chintapurni Trust.
Zila Parishad member Kamal Saini said that local people and school children have to face a lot of problems due to overloaded vehicles and increasing traffic in Tahliwal-Bathu-Bathri industrial area. Executive Officer Mahendra Pal Gurjar directed the concerned officials to fix the timetable of big vehicles so that school children, people working in the industrial area as well as local people do not face any kind of inconvenience. Kamal Saini also demanded action from the mining department for not digging according to the norms by the crushers installed on the riverbed.
 He demanded not to give permission to the people of Punjab to open de-addiction centers in Haroli and to regularly inspect the de-addiction centers being run. On which the ADC directed the concerned officials to inspect the de-addiction centers being run in the district every six months.
Vice President Krishnapal Sharma raised the issue of not repairing the damage caused to the roads during the digging done by the telecom company for laying cables on various routes under his area. Apart from this, he demanded to provide a small vehicle to the fire station in Bangana under his Zila Parishad area, to bring Thanakalan Patwar Circle under the revenue tehsil Bangana and to reduce the valuation of land in Thanakalan as well as to ensure adequate supply of drinking water in Dehar Chowk and Kharoh.
Chief Executive Officer Zila Parishad and ADC Mahendra Pal Gurjar, DFO Sushil Rana, ASP Sanjeev Bhatia, CMO Dr. Sanjeev Verma along with heads of various offices and their representatives as well as various Zilla Parishad members of the district also participated in the meeting.
