
‘Gyani Kirpal Singh Special Issue’ of ‘Panchbati Sandesh’ Magazine Released
Patiala, November 26: The April-October issue of ‘Panchbati Sandesh’, a magazine affiliated with Punjabi University’s Dr. Balbir Singh Singh Sahit Kendra, Dehradun, was released today at the university campus in Patiala. Patiala, November 26: The April-October issue of ‘Panchbati Sandesh’, a magazine affiliated with Punjabi University’s Dr. Balbir Singh Singh Sahit Kendra, Dehradun, was released today at the university campus in Patiala. This special issue related to Giani Kirpal Singh provides important information about his life, literary contributions and Panthic services.
His entire life has been dedicated to the service of the Sikh Panth and the study of Sikh scriptures. Dean Academic Affairs Dr. Narinder Kaur, while releasing this special issue related to Giani Kirpal Singh, said that this issue will prove beneficial for researchers and students of Sikhism. Coordinator of the center Dr. Paramvir Singh said that this issue has been prepared with the cooperation of Dr. Kulwinder Singh Dehradun. Important parts related to the autobiography prepared by Giani Ji have been included in this issue.
During the events of Sri Darbar Sahib in June 1984, Giani Kirpal Singh Ji was the Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib. At that time, all the Sikh leaders were in jails and he led the Panth with the support of the Chief Granthi of Sri Darbar Sahib Giani Sahib Singh Ji. A special interview of Giani Sahib Singh Ji has also been published in this issue, from which information regarding important issues related to the Sikh Panth is available.
Former Chief Editor of Sikh Encyclopedia Dr. Dharam Singh, Head of Sikh Encyclopedia Department Dr. Jaspreet Kaur Sandhu, Dr. Mohammad Idris, Dr. Kashmir Singh, S. Gurmail Singh, Mukesh Kumar etc. were present on the occasion of the release.
