Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar July 08, 2025: The 15 double-storey shops allotted by the Punjab Mandi Board in the main vegetable and fruit market located in Phase-11 of Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar were handed over to the allottees today by Advocate Govinder Mittal, Chairman, Market Committee Mohali. Secretary Jai Vijay was specially present with him on this occasion.

Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar July 08, 2025: The 15 double-storey shops allotted by the Punjab Mandi Board in the main vegetable and fruit market located in Phase-11 of Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar were handed over to the allottees today by Advocate Govinder Mittal, Chairman, Market Committee Mohali. Secretary Jai Vijay was specially present with him on this occasion.
Earlier, Advocate Govinder Mittal, Chairman, Market Committee, Mohali, met the allottees at his office and congratulated them on getting possession. Chairman Mittal assured all possible support to the wholesale sellers of fruits and vegetables and asked the agents to start work as soon as possible so that the people of this region can get the benefits of this market.
While assuring the agents, he said that the Punjab government is committed to running this market and they will not be allowed to face any kind of problem in the future. It is worth mentioning that the Chairman of the Mandi Board, Shri Harchand Singh Burst, is making a lot of efforts to run this market, which has been ready for a long time and now after the big agents of Chandigarh and Panchkula bought these shops, there is hope for the functioning of this market and the efforts of Shri Harchand Singh Burst are seen to be paying off.
The Chairman of the Mandi Board, Shri Harchand Singh Burst, had himself met with the agents of the Tricity to invest in this market and motivated them to work here. The agents who came to take possession of these shops today announced that they would start work here soon and thanked the Mandi Board for giving possession on time as per the stipulated conditions and expressed happiness.
