Brookside Sangat celebrates the birth anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji with devotion

Surrey (Canada) November 20: The 555th birth anniversary of Pratham Patshahi Sahib Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj was celebrated with great reverence and enthusiasm by the Sangat of Gurdwara Sahib Brookside. After the conclusion of Sri Akhandpath Sahib in the main Darbar Hall, the series of Gurbani Kirtan, Katha and Guru ka Langar continued throughout the day. Bhai Sarabjit Singh Ramdas Wale and Bhai Iqbal Singh Ludhiana Wale sang the glories of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji with the Kirtan of Ilahi Bani.

Gyani Kulwant Singh and Giani Satwinderpal Singh narrated the important events of the life of Guru Sahiban Ji and inspired to follow the teachings of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. The organizing committee also congratulated Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji on his Jayanti and encouraged to share with more enthusiasm the steps taken by Guru Maharaj for the betterment of overall humanity and the concept of 'Sarbat da Bhala'.
The Sevadaar Bibi of Gurdwara Sahib Brookside, the children and girls of Punjabi and Kirtan classes along with the children of Mardana Academy, Amarjit Singh Tabla player and S. Narinder Singh Panesar inspired the congregation to sing Shabad Kirtan on this Prakash Parv. Like every year, this year too the children and the congregation expressed their happiness by cutting the cake. Similarly, the entire association of Longman Workers celebrated the birth anniversary of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji with great reverence.
